Composition:

Polyethylene Glycol 400 USP-NF 0.4% w/v
Propylene Glycol IP 0.3% w/v
Sterile aqueous buffered vehicle q.s.

It contains Sodium Perborate BP (as preservative), Hydroxypropyl Guar Gum, Calcium Chloride IP, Magnesium Chloride IP, Zinc Chloride IP, Potassium Chloride IP, Sodium Chloride IP and boric acid IP.

Description:

Fomira eye drops is a sterile eye drops containing Polyethylene Glycol 400 & Propylene Glycol, which protects eyes from discomfort associated with dry eye so that the eyes feel moist and refreshed for a long period of time.

Pharmacology:

The combination of Polyethylene Glycol 400 & Propylene Glycol is clinically proven to reduce both signs and symptoms of dry eye. The mechanism of action is thought to be due to its unique gelling and lubricating system formulated to adjust to each user's individual tear pH. When the ingredients of Fomira eye drops combine with natural tears, a soft gel forms a network of protection over the eye surface. Since it promotes a healthy environment in eye surface, damaged surface cells of eye can repair more easily.

Indications:

Fomira eye drops is indicated for the temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye.

Application and Administration:

Instill 1 or 2 drops 4 times daily in the affected eye(s) or as directed by the Physician. Use the solution within one month after opening the container.

NOT FOR INJECTION. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.

Contraindication:

It is contraindicated in patients with known sensitivity to any ingredient in this formulation.

Storage:

Store below 30°C. Protect from light & moisture. Do not freeze.
