Bepotastine Besilate Ophthalmic Solution 1.5% w/v
Bepirex Eye Drops is used to treat itching of the eyes caused by allergic conjunctivitis (a condition in which the eyes become itchy, swollen, red, and teary when they are exposed to certain substances in the air).

Actions & Clinical Pharmacology:
Bepotastine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking the action and preventing the release of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
Indications:
Bepirex Eye Drops is used to treat itching of the eyes caused by allergic conjunctivitis (a condition in which the eyes become itchy, swollen, red, and teary when they are exposed to certain substances in the air).
Contraindications:
Bepirex Eye Drops is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Bepotastine Besilate or any component of this medication.
Storage:
Store below 30°C. Protect from light & moisture. Do not freeze.
It should not be instilled while wearing contact lenses. Lenses may be reinserted after 10 minutes following administration of Bepirex Eye Drops.
Bepirex Eye Drops may cause short term blurring of vision or discomfort in the eyes when it is used.
You should be cautious about these symptoms before driving a vehicle or operating machinery.

Pregnancy:
There are no available human data for the use of Bepirex Eye Drops during pregnancy to inform any drug-associated risks.
Nursing Mothers:
There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.
Pediatric Use:
Safety and efficacy of Bepirex Eye Drops have not been established in pediatric patients under 2 years of age. Efficacy in pediatric patients under 10 years of age was extrapolated from clinical trials conducted in pediatric patients greater than 10 years of age and from adults.
Geriatric Use:
No overall differences in safety or effectiveness have been observed between elderly and younger patients.
Symptoms and Treatment of Overdosage:
No information is available on over-dosage in humans. Treatment of an oral overdose includes supportive and symptomatic therapy.
Dosage and Administration:
It is usually applied to the affected eye(s) twice a day. Use Bepirex Eye Drops exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
● Adults, teenagers, and children 2 years of age and older - Use one drop in the affected eye two times a day.
● Children younger than 2 years of age - Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.
Special Instructions:
Patients should be advised to avoid contamination of the dispensing tip.
